Events are planned throughout 2022 to mark Wausau’s legacy as a city and the public is invited to join in.
According to a press release published earlier today, the community will be aiming to commemorate the people, places and businesses which have put Wausau on the map over the last 150 years. Stories will be shared, a hashtag titled #CelebrateWausau has been developed and the first event will be Winter Fest on Jan. 29.
“I am thrilled to commemorate Wausau’s decades and decades of history and progress and celebrate what’s next for our city,” a statement from Mayor Katie Rosenberg reads. “I hope everyone can join this celebration.”
