The Wausau Police Department is once again advising the public of the release of an offender to the community.
According to a press release sent at the end of August, Kurt B. Jacobs will be back in the area Tuesday after serving his sentence for child enticement and repeated acts of sexual assault against the same child. Sex offenders are sent back to the area where their initial activity took place upon finishing incarceration and Jacobs will be living in transitional housing near the Marathon County Courthouse while being subject to GPS tracking.
His ongoing address and status will be updated and is available online by accessing the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry at widocoffenders.org. As well, Jacobs will lead a strictly scheduled life in the community, with time outside only being for going to work and treatment for what led to his present situation and criminal record.
