A Wausau elementary school teacher has been arrested for alleged child pornography possession and at this time authorities have no indication any local children are involved in the case as it is being investigated.
According to a release by the Wausau Police Department, Kristofor M. Edwards was arrested at his home Monday on Wausau’s west side. He was transported to the Marathon County Jail and is expected in court first on Tuesday.
Edwards has been teaching the fourth grade at Maine Elementary School. Area outlets have reported he has been placed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Charges have not been proven or tested in court.
